Large Lantern Blind, Cheam Surrey
Our client came to us thinking they needed a blackout blind to give them the solar protection they needed in a home office. With a lantern roof light more than 2m x 3m directly above their desk ( and a big, shiny iMac ) we could see their reasoning, but we knew that our sunshield fabric would deliver the shade and thermal protection that they were looking for, without plunging them into complete darkness.

This blind was fitted close to the top of the ceiling recess, maintaining the height in the room. Wiring was put in place during the build, and the blind was powered via a 24v Somfy motor via a transformer receiver housed out of sight locally in a cupboard. The quality of light achieved was perfect for our clients - zero glare & total light diffusion that allowed our customer to use a computer screen immediately below the glazing.
