Solar-Battery Powered Skylight Blind SW19

Back in 2018 our client came to us desperately needing to shade a south facing, flat roof skylight in their extension. Without a power supply in place we specified our solar battery system. The battery pack is trickle charged by a small solar panel that sits out of sight above the blind.

Blinds of this type, installed beneath horizontal glazing are fitted around 20cm below the glass. The solar panel is fitted immediately above the blind and hidden by the fabric stack. The battery is housed in trunking below.

The transformation was extraordinary - our customer had been living with unbearable heat and glare which their blind resolved completely.
